Grosvenor Wright was formed in 2006 when the Executive Search Practice of a significant recruitment business was spun out to form a new search brand in the Management Consulting, Professional Services and Telecoms, Media and Technology sectors. Its focus was on sourcing and assessing Partners, Directors and other senior business leaders for its core sectors. Subsequently, Grosvenor Wright developed considerable capability in the International Energy sector and also provided clients with research-driven, bespoke projects addressing market development; helping them to identify new business opportunities, acquisition targets or team moves as well as advising on how best to integrate new hires, position themselves as the employer of choice or shape compelling compensation models.

Clive & Stokes was founded over fifty years ago and has been a leading name in executive and non-executive director search in the Energy, International Oil & Gas, Power and Infrastructure sectors ever since. Much of the work they undertook had an international flavour, with clients, assignments and candidates all based overseas: this work was all managed and run from Clive & Stokes' London office and included projects in Russia, Uganda, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Germany, Spain, Romania, Norway, Egypt, South Africa, the USA, Canada, Singapore and the UK.
